On October 3 the CBS program Undercover Boss featured the Great Wolf Resorts company, and traveled to the Mason location for a day of filming. CEO Kimberly Schaefer went undercover to see how her company works, and she shadowed server Deanna in Mason. One of the biggest local events of the year takes place this weekend. Riverfest 2010 will occur Sept. 5 at 9:05 p.m., and here’s a quick list of the stuff you might want to know. The first Riverfest was in 1977. It was never meant to be a tradition, it was simply a celebration of WEBN’s 10th anniversary There are three music stages operating that day. It’s Duck Season! The Freestore Foodbank is preparing for the annual Rubber Duck Regatta, and every year they have a celebrity duck auction. Special rubber ducks signed by local and national celebrities get put up for auction. We’ve been admiring these adorable ducklings that have been showing up on the Freestore’s Facebook page. Like cupcakes? Then you should tune in to a replay of this week’s Cupcake Wars on the Food Network. Milford’s Sugar Cupcakery’s Krista Tevar and Karla Jennings were competitors on the new show, which pits the nation’s best cupcake bakers against each other in a series of challenges.
