The Land of Make Believe, Lunken Airport, Mt Lookout
This playground is completely fenced in with lots of shade in the summer & a nice centrally located picnic shelter. The play sets are HUGE, there are indoor restrooms & a snack bar (seasonally). You’ll have to pay $1 during the season (May-Oct, 10 AM-4 PM), but it’s worth it. Off-season, the back gate is open for you just to drop on in, but you’ll have to travel far, to the golf pro shop, for a restroom. Bonus: you get to see the airplanes in the sky!

Sawyer Point, Downtown
If you haven’t checked out this enormous new playground & play area – you are missing out! The 2 huge parks at Sawyer Point offer both low structures with a soft play surface for toddlers! Though parking can be up to $4, there is free parking in the lot for the small International Friendship Park just past the entrance to the Ribs King Boathouse. From that lot it is a short, beautiful stroller ride to the parks.

Otto Armleder Park, Mt Lookout
The play set & swings are great fun for sure, but what makes this park dynamite is all the open grassy space, as well as the paved pathway that winds throughout. It’s all completely flat, so it’s easier to keep an eye on multiple explorers. This park also features a large dog park so feel free to bring the whole family!
