It’s Duck Season! The Freestore Foodbank is preparing for the annual Rubber Duck Regatta, and every year they have a celebrity duck auction. Special rubber ducks signed by local and national celebrities get put up for auction. We’ve been admiring these adorable ducklings that have been showing up on the Freestore’s Facebook page. Check them out!
Of course the Regatta doesn’t take place until Labor Day Weekend, but duck fever has already begun at the Freestore. You can get your ducks now for your chance to win amazing prizes. Ducks can be bought online, at Kroger locations, at the Freestore or by phone. One duck buys TWENTY meals. Ducks are $5 each.
Ducks up for auction are signed by celebrities including Justin Bieber (pictured, with that famous hair), Guy Fieri, Coach Calipari, Chad Ochocinco, Joey Votto and more! The auction takes place Thursday, July 29, at Jefferson Hall at Newport on the Levee from 5:30 to 8:30. Attend and have a chance to take one of these ducks home, while raising money to fight hunger here in the Tristate area.
