The House of Representatives has just voted to pass the Senate’s new unemployment benefit bill, which passed the Senate Wednesday, 98-0. Attached to that bill is not only an extension — but expansion — of the homebuyer tax credit. The president is expected to sign this bill into law. New Recycling Guidelines in Cincinnati

The city of Cincinnati and Rumpke have announced new recycling guidelines. Due to the installation of some new high-tech equipment, Rumpke is now able to accept more items. The new equipment will be able to electronically scan items and determine their type. The new acceptable items are as follows: Pizza boxes (must be free of food residue) ALL plastic bottles and jugs, regardless of number (caps removed — NO butter tubs or plastic bags.) Sure, it’s small group, but it is gaining in popularity. Every year I get my Thanksgiving turkey from Tewes Farm in Earlanger, Kentucky. I go back every year because their turkeys taste the best! We emailed Tewes for some insider info about their turkeys. Why get a turkey from Tewes instead of the grocery store? “You’ll know where your turkey was raised, you’ll see them outside so you know they don’t live in cages.” Tewes told us. “They don’t have hormones and they are larger, so more mean and less bones.
