On a beautiful Cincinnati weekend, I toured all five of the 2009 Homearama homes. In the coming days, I’m going to be posting my review of each home here on my website. On Tuesdays this month, Wells-Fargo is holding workshops for first-time buyers. This is a great opportunity to go ask questions and get information if you are thinking about buying your first home. AND these workshops are totally free. My lender, Sharon Natarus, passed on some info to me about these workshops. Consumer Confidence Numbers UP

The newest consumer confidence index numbers were released on August 25, and the result is positive. The Conference Board, a New York-based business research group, reported the index rose to 54.1 in August from 47.4 in July. The “present situation” index rose from 23.3 in July to 24.9 today. These numbers are based on surveys sent out to 5,000 US households, and is designed to gauge exactly what it sounds — a consumer’s confidence in the market.
