We’ve found a great video for you if you still need some help figuring out the $8,000 first-time home buyer tax credit. The National Association of Home Builders has posted a Q&A that answers some of those burning questions.

For instance, what happens if you are a first-time home buyer and your spouse is not? Both of you must be first-time home buyers (or not owned a property in three years) to qualify. What type of housing can you use this credit for? Any kind, including single family homes, townhouses, condos and both new and existing structures.
